CONTACT MTD BUILDING - We will guide you and help you select or create
the ideal house plan design for your new home.
Once we know what you are looking for in your home,
we can prepare a construction cost proposal or
estimate.
PROPOSAL - Our construction cost proposal will
include the home, and all the options you have
chosen.
The home site may require a site survey to determine
what site preparation may be needed.
Upon agreement, we will need your signature and an
initial deposit which authorizes us to begin the
processes of preparing your floor plan for
construction.
BUILDING CONTRACT - The cost proposal is the
basis of our building contract. Signing the building
contract and bringing the deposit up to the agreed
amount will then authorize MTD Building to begin
construction of your new home!
BUILDING PERMITS - The next step is to obtain
the building permit. This can take different times
depending on location. If the permit office is busy
or if we're building in an environmentally sensitive
area, permits can take longer. Usually permits can
be procured within a few weeks.
BUILDING PROCESS - Once ground is broken,
most homes take 10 months to
complete with additional time for larger homes with
more detail. We will keep you
up to date during the construction process, even if
you are not local. You will be given a user name and
password and will be able to login to this site to
see up to the minute construction of your home. We
will also schedule a walk through at the
drywall stage to make last minute changes.
CLOSING - Two weeks prior to closing, we will
accompany you for a final inspection to ensure
everything is as it should be. Any corrections will
be completed prior to closing.
